NSOMS required a fitout that was aligned to the high specifications of the Newmarket precinct as well as the critical needs of an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery practice.

NSOMS is Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery specialist practice based in Newmarket, Auckland. NSOMS operates as a hub for specialist dentistry with a unique level of cooperation and service provision by Oral Health Therapist, Prosthodontist and Paediatric dentistry. Patients benefit from comprehensive treatment all under one roof.

NSOMS are relied upon to provide the highest quality dental care across a wide variety of procedures including wisdom tooth removal, dental implants and dentoalveolar surgery. NSOMS also sees patients for the assessment and treatment of various oral soft tissue or bone lesions and temporomandibular joint problems.

Given the sensitivity of these procedures, NSOMS wanted a fitout that was clean, contemporary and modern with a warm and inviting ambience. The aim was to create reception areas, consultation rooms and recovery spaces that reassured patients before, during and after treatments.

In keeping with the Newmarket precinct, NSOMS also wanted to ensure that the fitout appealed to their growing client base. A professional look was favoured over a homely design, with elegant focal points.

Curved lines bring patients into the space, where clever design can be appreciated not just in the walls and furnishings but also underfoot. Marbled flooring graduates into dark carpet in the waiting area, while wood-look parquet flooring in the consultation rooms add a designer touch to the clean white walls and medical equipment.

Meanwhile, mounted pendants and glass printing offer a premier experience not just to the patients but also the surgeons and clinic staff while operating.

Finally, the theatre recovery and utility equipment rooms are placed strategically in connection to theatre, in keeping with the overall intelligence of the fitout design.
