Focusplan had the privilege of leading the design and construction of Eye Institute’s brand new Hastings facility.
Situated on the top floor of the brand new Kaweka Hospital development, the clinic includes a welcoming patient reception and waiting area, six consulting rooms, a procedure room, a clean/dirty room, and multiple ophthalmic testing rooms.
The clinic features glass partitioning to maximise the natural light and showcase the scenic Hawkes Bay landscapes surrounding the Kaweka Hospital precinct, along with luxurious timber joinery and soft furnishings. It was great to collaborate with Chantel Fisher of Maken Design on the interior design for this project, elevating the experience for both staff and patients.
Focusplan worked closely with Eye Institute to optimise the room sizes and layouts, iterating the design until the perfect patient and staff flow was achieved.
