Re:Vision

Re:Vision

As a centre for excellence in vision correction, Re:Vision required a patient focused environment with uplifting details and modern contours suitable for a medical  environment.

Founded by Dr Trevor Gray, Re:Vision brings together the finest team of ophthalmic professionals to provide life-changing vision procedures such as cataract surgery, LASIK laser vision correction, refractive lens exchange, and implantable contact lenses to patients across Auckland and New Zealand. Re:Vision’s philosophy is “we care”, based on their  patient-centric approach to vision correction and values of kindness, respect and excellence.

Re:Vision challenged Focusplan to fashion a working environment, customised for their specific healthcare needs, as well as their compassionate approach to customer care.
Re:Vision contacted us to design and deliver a fitout that balanced the needs of both the public and their own state-of-the-art medical requirements. A prerequisite for Dr. Trevor Gray, Re:Vision’s managing director, was that there be three levels of enjoyable experience for customers and patients as they move through the space. Focusplan worked with the team at Re:Vision to come up with a design that subtly expressed the power of sight, while quietly communicating the quality of care on offer at Re:Vision.

To start, Focusplan chose aesthetically pleasing open plan spaces with floor to ceiling exterior views to guide the overarching design. From there, we built in modern contours  and timeless wall features with luxurious finishes. We wanted to dramatically shift away from the traditional ophthalmic office with its institutional feel, to guide patients through an unfolding space that feels uplifting. Starting in the reception, dark wood is coupled with gentle blue-greys and beige elements that serve as a frame for the dazzling views and attractive wall features. Fabrics and materials are high-quality and luxurious, while small coloured light features invoke the rich colour potential of vision correction.

A highlight of this project is the stain-glass inspired sliding doors that lead into each comfortably furnished consulting room.
